Josephine Pon, your UCP candidate for Calgary-Beddington
Josephine has a unique perspective on two of the engines that drive Alberta – the financial industry and the volunteer sector – and the damaging effects that NDP policies have had on both.
Josephine’s experience includes working in the mortgage insurance, international trade and the assisted housing departments of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation before becoming a Regional Manager in the financial industry, overseeing international multicultural banking activities.
Josephine is currently the Vice President of the Taste of Asia restaurant group and has seen first-hand how the NDP’s new taxes are squeezing families. Josephine is committed to community service, volunteering and serving as a board member for non-profit organizations for over 20 years, including working on the Mayor’s Task Force to Eliminate Poverty and the Chair of Immigrant Services Calgary.
Josephine believes in small government and free enterprise and is a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility. She wants to work with Jason Kenney and the diverse, experienced, and talented UCP team to help reignite the economy and get Albertans back to work.
